What Dad.ai Collects

Dad.ai stores the account information needed to sign in, including email address and authentication identifiers.

Dad.ai stores family and child profile information that a parent adds, such as child names, ages, school class, hobbies, interests, and coaching preferences.

Dad.ai stores Dad Time and homework activity data, including planned sessions, missed sessions, completed sessions, ratings, notes, homework reminders, coaching reactions, and related history.

Dad.ai stores user-provided photos or screenshots when a parent chooses to upload homework photos or session attachments.

How Dad.ai Uses Data

Dad.ai uses this data to create and sync family profiles, plan Dad Time sessions, schedule reminders, show history, support homework check-ins, and tailor coaching suggestions.

Dad.ai does not sell family or child data.

Dad.ai does not use homework photos or child profile data for advertising.

Photos And Attachments

Homework photos and session attachments are uploaded only when the parent chooses to add them. They are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets and scoped to the signed-in family account.

Notifications

Dad.ai uses local notifications for planned Dad Time and homework reminders. Notification permission is optional.

Analytics

Dad.ai uses PostHog to understand whether the app is being used and where people get stuck, so we can improve it.

Analytics events are tied to your account and family. They record product actions only, such as opening the app, starting sign-up, adding a child profile, and planning or completing a Dad Time session. They never include your child's name, homework text, photo contents, or anything you type into a free-text field.

Dad.ai does not record your screen. Session replay is not enabled.

Analytics is off in development builds by default.

Error And Crash Reports

When the app hits an unexpected error, Dad.ai sends a report to PostHog so the problem can be found and fixed.

These reports contain the error message, the technical location in the app's code where it happened, and your account identifier. They do not contain your child's name, homework text, photos, or anything you have typed.

Account And Data Deletion

Parents can delete their account from the app settings screen. Deletion removes the account's family data, child profiles, sessions, homework records, coaching notes, uploaded homework photos, uploaded session attachments, and local reminders.

Service Providers

Dad.ai uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, backend functions, and private file storage.

Dad.ai uses PostHog (EU data hosting) for pseudonymous product analytics and error reporting.
